It is much easier to reward what you want repeated and let the pet choose to do what you’re encouraging. I use no force, coercion, leash pops, prong collars, or even “No.” Punishment only gives information about what is not wanted.

There is probably an ever-growing list of things you do not want your pet to do, but a short list of THINGS YOU DO WANT him/her to do. Let me show you how to focus on the short list.
